अमेरिका बस्दै र चिकित्सकीय पेशामा सक्रिय रहँदै आएका डा. सुरेश बस्नेतको नयाँ नेपाली गीत तथा म्युजिक भिडियो ‘Always With You (सधैं साथमा तिम्रो)’ छिट्टै सार्वजनिक हुने भएको छ। अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा छायांकन गरिएको यो गीत तथा भिडियो नेपाली संगीत क्षेत्रमा हालसम्मकै अत्यन्त महँगो र भव्य प्रोजेक्टहरूमध्ये एकका रूपमा रहने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।

पेशाले चिकित्सक रहेका डा. सुरेश बस्नेत हाल University of Maryland School of Medicine मा Assistant Professor of Medicine का रूपमा कार्यरत छन्। उता उनकी धर्मपत्नी डा. रेहा पोखरेल बस्नेत पनि Internal Medicine विषयकी चिकित्सक हुन् र हाल Adventist Health Care, Silver Spring, Maryland मा कार्यरत रहनु भएकी छिन्। चिकित्सा क्षेत्रमा व्यस्त र सफल व्यावसायिक जीवन बिताइरहेकै अवस्थामा पनि नेपाली कला, संगीत र संस्कृतिप्रतिको गहिरो लगावलाई जीवन्त राख्दै दुवैजनाले यस महत्त्वाकांक्षी सांगीतिक प्रोजेक्टमा सहकार्य गरेका छन्।

यस गीत तथा भिडियोको छायांकन अमेरिका, अष्ट्रेलिया र न्युजिल्यान्डमा गरिएको छ। अमेरिकामा भएको छायांकनमा FOX News का चर्चित क्यामेरापर्सन माइक मोनरो, साथै विशालमान श्रेष्ठ र पशुपति बस्याल संलग्न छन्। अमेरिकाको छायांकन निर्देशन विक्रमन्त मान श्रेष्ठले गरेका हुन्। अष्ट्रेलियामा दिवास कोइराला र उहाँको टिमले छायांकन सम्हालेको हो। न्युजिल्यान्डको छायांकन EUREKA Films को टिमले गर्दैछ भने त्यहाँको निर्देशन क्रिश्चियन बतिस्ताले गरेका छन्। अमेरिकाको सम्पूर्ण छायांकन पूरा भइसकेको छ र बाँकी दृश्यहरूका लागि टिम न्युजिल्यान्ड प्रस्थान गर्ने तयारीमा रहेको बताइएको छ।

डा. सुरेश बस्नेतले यस गीतसँग जोडिएको आफ्नो स्मृति र भावनात्मक यात्राबारे पनि खुलेर कुरा गरेका छन्। “काठमाडौँको दिपेन्द्र प्रहरी बोर्डिङ हाईस्कुलमा पढ्दाका दिनमा साथीहरूसँग गितार सिकेको थिएँ। संगीतप्रति सधैं गहिरो प्रेम र लगाव थियो,” उहाँ भन्छन्। लोकप्रिय नेपाली ब्याण्ड डाक्टर पाइलटका गिटारिस्ट जनक सुनुवार र The BUDS ब्याण्डका दिनेश श्रेष्ठ उहाँका विद्यालयकालीन साथी हुन्। विद्यालय र कलेजस्तरका थुप्रै सांगीतिक कार्यक्रममा प्रस्तुति दिँदै आएका सुरेश मेडिकल कलेजमा भर्ना भई अमेरिका आएपछि भने लामो समयसम्म संगीतप्रतिको सक्रियता ओझेलमा परेको बताउँछन्।

“गत वर्ष नेपाल जाँदा मेरा स्कुल साथी दिनेश श्रेष्ठसँग भेट भयो। त्यही भेटबाट मेरी सुन्दर पत्नीलाई समर्पित प्रेमगीत रेकर्ड गर्ने विचार जन्मियो,” डा. सुरेश भन्छन्। करिब एक वर्षदेखि निरन्तर मेहनतका साथ यस गीतमा काम भइरहेको छ र अहिले प्रोजेक्ट लगभग तयारी अवस्थामा पुगेको उहाँको भनाइ छ।

यस प्रोजेक्टबारे कुरा गर्दै डा. सुरेश बस्नेतले आफूले सम्पूर्ण ऊर्जा, मेहनत र व्यक्तिगत स्रोत लगानी गरेको उल्लेख गरेका छन्। “मेडिकल शिक्षा पूरा गरेपछि यति धेरै परिश्रम कुनै काममा गरेको थिइनँ। अब मात्र एउटा गीत बनाउने, छायांकन गर्ने र सार्वजनिक गर्न कति ठूलो परिश्रम र टिमवर्क चाहिन्छ भन्ने कुरा गहिरोसँग बुझेको छु,” उहाँले भन्नुभयो। संगीत तथा चलचित्र क्षेत्रमा संलग्न प्रत्येक कलाकार, प्राविधिक र सहयोगीको मिहिनेतप्रति उहाँले हृदयदेखि सम्मान व्यक्त गर्नुभएको छ।

अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय लोकेसन, भावनात्मक प्रेमकथा, पति–पत्नीको स्वाभाविक सह–अभिनय, उच्चस्तरीय प्राविधिक पक्ष र ठूलो लगानीका कारण ‘Always With You (सधैं साथमा तिम्रो)’ ले नेपाली म्युजिक भिडियोलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा नयाँ उचाइमा पुर्‍याउने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ। गीत तथा भिडियोको औपचारिक रिलिज मितिको घोषणा छिट्टै गरिने निर्माण पक्षले जनाएको छ।

Dr. Suresh Basnet, a U.S.-based physician actively engaged in the medical profession, is set to release his new Nepali song and music video titled “Always With You (Sadhain Saathmaa Timro)” very soon. Shot on an international scale, the song and video are expected to be among the most expensive and grand Nepali music projects to date.

By profession, Dr. Suresh Basnet is a physician and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His wife, Dr. Reha Pokharel Basnet, is also an Internal Medicine physician and is presently working at Adventist Health Care, Silver Spring, Maryland. Despite their demanding and successful medical careers in the United States, both have continued to nurture a deep love for Nepali art, music, and culture, which is clearly reflected in this ambitious musical project.

The lyrics and composition of the song are by Govin Poon, while the vocals are performed by Dr. Suresh Basnet himself. The arrangement and recording were done by Dinesh Shrestha (D-Studio). The music video stars Dr. Suresh Basnet alongside his wife Dr. Reha Pokharel Basnet. Reha appears in the video with a glamorous, model-like look, adding elegance and visual appeal, according to the production team.

The music video has been filmed across the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The U.S. shoot involved renowned FOX News cameraman Mike Monroe, along with Bishal Man Shrestha and Pashupati Bashyal, and was directed by Bikrant Man Shrestha. Filming in Australia was handled by Diwash Koirala and his team, while the New Zealand segment is being produced by EUREKA Films, with direction by Christian Batista. Filming in the United States has already been completed, and the team is preparing to travel to New Zealand for the remaining scenes.

Dr. Suresh Basnet has also shared his personal memories and emotional journey connected to the song. “While studying at Dipendra Police Boarding High School in Kathmandu, I learned to play the guitar with my friends. I always had a deep love and passion for music,” he says. Janak Sunwar, guitarist of the popular Nepali band Dr. Pilot, and Dinesh Shrestha of The BUDS band are his school-time friends. Dr. Basnet actively participated in many school- and college-level musical programs. However, after joining medical college and later moving to the U.S., his musical pursuits remained dormant for many years.

“Last year, when I visited Nepal, I met my school friend Dinesh Shrestha. That meeting inspired the idea of recording a love song dedicated to my beautiful wife,” Dr. Basnet shares. He has been working on the project continuously for nearly a year, and it is now almost ready for release.

Dr. Basnet emphasized that he has invested all his energy, hard work, and personal resources into this project. “After completing my medical education, I have never worked this hard on anything else. Now I truly realize how much effort it takes to create, film, and release a song. This is not an individual effort—it is teamwork,” he said, expressing deep respect for every individual involved in the music and cinematic industry.

With its international locations, emotional love story, natural on-screen chemistry of the husband-and-wife duo, advanced technical standards, and significant investment, “Always With You (Sadhain Saathmaa Timro)” is expected to take Nepali music videos to a new international level. The official release date of the song and video will be announced soon, according to the production team.
