Election for the term 2011-2013

International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) is one of the leading literary organizations committed to Nepali language, Literacy, Arts & Culture around the world. INLS has now 60 chapters around the world and has paid members in 56 countries.  We have taken this as a grand success and are committed to do more as we progress.

INLS DC Chapter is one of the chapters concentrated in Washington DC metro area.

INLS DC Chapter Executive Committee term for 2009-2011expired and there was a new an announcement earlier to elect the new Executive Committee for the 2011-2013 term. The deadline was given as March 10, 2011 Midnight. 

In accordance with DC Chapter By Laws, , Article VII, Sub-Article VI-2-1,

the Election Committee here by declares that the following candidates have been elected for the term 2011-2013:

 President:  Prakash Nepal

Vice-President:  Manju Niraula

General Secretary:  Bijay Thapa

Secretary:  Guna Raj Luitel

Treasurer:  Khimananda Acharya

The Election Committee congratulates the newly elected executive officers in the leadership of Mr. Prakash Nepal. We wish the committee a successful term 2011-2013.

We would also like to thank to the outgoing Executive Committee for giving us this opportunity to hold the election.

The outgoing executive committee is organizing the Swearing-in Ceremony at the following location and date:

 March 20th, 2011, SUNDAY

Time:- 2.30 PM

 Venue: Arlington Central Library - Auditorium Hall

Swearing-in Ceremony will be followed by future plan's announcement by newly elected President, Literary Talk by Dr. Pradeep Chapagain (AIT Ph.D), new book release, poems citations and refreshment.
