सभापतित्वमा, डिसी नेपाली समाजका उपाध्यक्ष्य दधी ढुंगाना र समाजसेबी ठाकुर ढकालको सन्चालनमा सम्पन्न भएको थियो जहाँ समाजसेबि राजन अधीकारीले मन्दिरको खाका र प्लान बारे प्रकाश पार्नुभएको थियो । जीवन ज्याक, डिसी नेपाली समाजका महासचिब एबम मन्दिर का एक आभियन्ता कमल पोखरेल, ए एन ए का अध्यक्ष्य सिमोन ढुंगाना, उपाध्यक्ष्य मेदिनी अधिकारी, समाजसेबिहरु डा बिष्णु पौडेल, गोपी उप्रेती, बिजय थापा, निलकन्ठ ढुंगाना, श्रीधर कंडेलले मन्दिर बारेमा बोल्नु भएको थियो। यसै गरी एन इ सि सिका उपाध्यक्ष्य प्रेम सङ्रौला, अन्तराष्ट्रिय कलाकार मन्च का अध्यक्ष्य राम प्रसाद खनाल, अमेरिका नेपाल सहयोगी समाजका अध्यक्ष्य सागर कंडेल लगायत का बक्ताले सुझाबहरु राख्नु भएको थियो। Note :यो फोटो अल्बमको अन्तिम तिरका केही फोटोहरु कलाकारहरुको जमघट एबम रात्रीभोजका केही फोटोहरु समेत मिसिएको अबगत गराइन्छ।

Dear community members and devotees,

First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our warm and heartfelt greetings to all the communities,

organizations and devotees on the auspicious occasion

“Vijaya Dashami & Dipawali 2067”

This press release has been issued to inform all about A Town Hall meeting which was organized in Chantilly Regional Library, Chantilly , Virginia on 10-10-2010 Sunday at 1.15pm to discuss the necessity of proposed of a Nepali Temple and Community Center in Northern Virginia, USA .

We as the organizers are really excited with the attendance and inputs of people of all walks of life at the meeting. We would like to thank to all persons, the participants and representatives from various organizations and journalists, Association of Nepalese in America, America- Nepal Society, NECC, Dharan America Society, Sagarmatha Television, Nepali Janasamparka Samity-Virginia, America Nepal Helping Society, International Artist Forum, Himali Aagan, NEJA, Nepal Horizons.com, Bishowparikrama, DCNepal.com, America-Nepal Chaupari who attended the meeting and expressed their views concern.

Mr. Jewan Tiwari while delivering his welcome speech described the objective of the Town Hall meeting and need of a temple and community center in NOVA area. Pandit Rajendra Khanal chanting spiritual “Mantra” wished for the success of this project. Mr. Kamal Pokharel explained the initiation of the Temple and focused on possibilities building the project.

Mr. Rajan Adhikari presented a project planning report and shed light on the need, progress, current status, future plan, success criteria and sustainability of the project. He emphasized that being a community-based project it would be only successful if all hands of community take active part in it playing a different role in three different phases of the project as a community participatory approach.

Local Social Activist Mr. Anil Pathak expressed his support to the temple and showing his commitment suggested a feasible financial Plan of contribution (i.e.at least 0.50c a day). Local Resident and Social Activist and ANA Vice-President Mr. Medini Adhikari, appreciated project efforts and declared his continue support to the temple. Senior Social Activist Dr. Bishnu Paudel appreciated the effort/initiation and offered a venue to host a religious gathering once a month for next three months to start with pray and “prabachan” thereby make everyone aware of this project. Local senior Centreville residence and supporters Mr. Pradip Mishra was requested to offer Prasad on such upcoming gathering. ANA President Mr. Simon Dhungana shared his previous experience and support to the proposed temple.

Open floor discussion session was held in the meeting. Questions, comments, suggestion and experience were openly discussed and shared amongst all of the participants. The following respected individuals participated on the discussions and expressed their views- Mr. Bijay Thapa, Mr. Ram Kharel, Mr. Nilkhantha Dhungana, Mr. Prem Sangraula, Mr. Sagar Kandel, Mr Ram Prasad Khanal, Mr. Shreedhar Kandel, Mr. Kabindra Sitaula, Mr. Ram Chandra Bhattarai, and Dr. Gopi Upreti.

The Town Hall meeting was co-hosted by Mr. Dadi Dhungana and Mr. Thakur Dhakal. The meeting was adjourned at 3.15 pm with a thank you note from Mr. Arun Rupakhethee who had chaired the meeting.  He looked forward to everyone’s support to reach the common goal.
