अविरल बर्षापछि आएको बाढीले बगाउँदा र घर भत्किँदा बुधबार मुलुकका विभिन्न भागमा पाँचको मृत्यु, तीन अज्ञात शव भेटिए ठाउँ-ठाउँमा सडक अवरुद्ध, सयौं विस्थापित

अविरल बर्षापछि आएको बाढीले बगाउँदा र घर भत्किँदा बुधबार मुलुकका विभिन्न भागमा पाँचको मृत्यु भएको छ भने मुलुकका विभिन्न राजमार्गको यातायात आवागमन प्रभावित बनेको छ । यस्तै, उदयपुरको त्रियुगा नदी किनारमा तीनओटा शव फेला परेको छ । उदयपुरको त्रियुगा नदीमा आएको बाढीले बगाउँदा जोगीदह-२, पारिटोलस्थित रामजानकी मन्दिरमा बस्दै आएका ५० वषर्ीय भिखारी दासको मृत्यु भएको छ । जोगीदह-८, मैनाहास्थित घर जाने क्रममा नदी तर्दै गर्दा उनलाई बगाएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय उदयपुरका प्रहरी निरीक्षक खगेन्द्र खड्काले बताए । उनको शव बगाएको ठाउँबाट करिब पाँच सय मिटर तल हडिया-८,
खैराहास्थित नदी किनारमा फेला परेको थियो ।
यसैगरी, बाढीले बगाउँदा इलामको दानाबारीमा एक वृद्धको ज्यान गएको छ । स्थानीय गरुवा खोला तर्ने क्रममा दानाबारी-४, का ७४ वषर्ीय नरध्वज र्राईको मृत्यु भएको लोदिया प्रहरीचौकी दानाबारीले बताएको छ । चुलाचुलीबाट घर र्फकने क्रममा र्राईलाई खोलाले बगाएको थियो । वषर्ापछिको बाढीले बगाउँदा यसअघि इलाममा ६ जनाको ज्यान गइसकेको छ ।
उता, अविरल वषर्ापछि आएको बाढीबाट दाङ सैघा निवासी यमलाल दमैको मृत्यु भएको छ । उनलाई स्थानीय सेवार खोलाले बगाएको थियो । उनको शव घोराही अकबरी भन्ने ठाउँमा भेटिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय दाङले जनाएको छ । खोलाले बगाउँदा यसअघि दाङमा पाँचजनाको मृत्यु भइसकेको छ ।
अविरल वषर्ाका कारण घर भत्किँदा स्याङ्जामा एकजनाको घरभित्रै पुरिएर मृत्यु भएको छ । मृत्यु हुनेमा बिर्घर्ाा, का ३९ वषर्ीय ताराबहादुर माझी रहेका छन् । बुधबार बिहान घर भत्किएपछि उनको घटनास्थलमै मृत्यु भएको हो । घरमा सुतिरहेका अन्य पाँचजना घाइते भएका छन् ।
नवलपरासीको पक्लिहवा गाविसमा नारायणी नदीले बगाउँदा एक बालकको पनि ज्यान गएको छ । पक्लिहवा-२, का सकिर आलमका १० वषर्ीय छोरा इनराम खानको नदीले बगाएर ज्यान गएको हो । यस्तै, नवलपरासी जिल्लाको पहाडी क्षेत्रमा पर्ने रकुवा र रुचाङ गाविसको सीमामा पर्ने बौदी खोलाले बगाउँदा रकुवा-६, निवासी ४५ वषर्ीय होमनाथ पाण्डे बेपत्ता भएका छन् । खेतमा काम गर्न गएका पाण्डेलाई खोलाले बगाएपछि खोजी कार्य भइरहे पनि फेला नपरेको नवलपरासी प्रहरीले जनाएको छ ।
यस्तै, उदयपुरको त्रियुगा नदीको भिन्नाभिन्नै ठाउँमा बुधबार तीनओटा शव भेटिएको छ । जिल्लाको तपेश्वरी गाविस-९, र हडिया गविस-४, स्थित नदी किनारमा ती शव फेला परेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । ती शव बगाएर ल्याएको हुनसक्ने प्रहरीको अनुमान छ ।
अविरल वषर्ाका कारण राप्ती अञ्चलका अधिकांश पहाडी राजमार्ग बन्द भएका छन् । वषर्ाका कारण पहिरो गएपछि मंगलबारबाट अवरुद्ध दाङ-सल्यान सडकखण्ड बुधबार पनि सञ्चालनमा आउन सकेन । राप्ती राजमार्गअर्न्तर्गत दाङ-सल्यान र सल्यान-रुकुम सडकखण्डका विभिन्न स्थानमा पहिरो जाँदा सडक अवरुद्ध भएको हो । यस्तै, दाङको घोराही-रोल्पा-होलेरी सडकखण्ड अवरुद्ध भएको चार दिन भइसक्दा पनि खुल्न सकेको छैन ।
चालीस गाउँ जलमग्न
नवलपरास्ाीमा वषर्ाका कारण आएको बाढीले करिब डेढ सय घरपरिवार पर्ूण्ारूपमा विस्थापित भएका छन् । बाढीबाट दुम्किबास गाविस-७, बहुवनका एक सय ३५ घरपरिवार विस्थापित भएका छन् । त्यसैगरी वषर्ाका कारण बाढी गाउँमा पस्दा नवलपरासीको सीमावर्ती रामपुर खडौना र रमपुरवा गाविसका करिब १५ घरपरिवार विस्थापित भएका छन् ।
लगातार चार दिनदेखि परेको अविरल वषर्ापछि आएको बाढीले नवलपरासीमा नवलपुर र परासी क्षेत्रमा गरी २० गाविस जलमग्न भएका छन् । यस्तै, नारायणी नदीमा आएको बाढीले रजहर, प्रगतिनगर, कोल्हुवा, नारायणी, /mपौलिया, प्रतापपुर, सोमनी, जमुनियाँ, रामपुर, खडौना, त्रिवेणी, भुजहवा, पक्लिहवा, गुठी र्सर्ूयपुरा, नर्सही, बैदौली जलमग्न भएको हो ।
वषर्ाका कारण गाउँमा पानी पस्दा रामपुरखडैना, रमपुरवा, नर्सही, पक्लिहवा, कुडिया, र्सनई, हकर्ुइ, कुस्मा, भुजहवा, सोमनी, गर्ेर्मीलगायतका गाविसमा हजारौं बिघा क्षेत्रफलमा लगाइएको धानबालीमा समेत क्षति पुगेको जनाइएको छ ।
घर डुबानमा
अविरल वषर्ाका कारण पर्ूव-पश्चिम महेन्द्र राजमार्गअर्न्तर्गत पथलैया निजगढ सडकखण्डको बालगंगा खोलामा आएको बाढीले एक घर बगाएको छ । ब्ााढीले तारजाली भत्काएपछि किनारमा रहेको साइला तामाङको घर बगाएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । अविरल वषर्ा हुन थालेपछि साइला सोमबार मात्र अन्यत्र सरेकाले धनजनको क्षति हुन पाएन । साथै बाढीलेे २० मिटर तारजाली भत्काएपछि बालगंगा पुलसमेत जोखिममा परेको छ । सशस्त्र प्रहरी भद्रकाली गण पिलुवाले पुल सुरक्षित गर्नका लागि माटो र ढुंगा भर्ने कार्य गरिरहेको गणपति सशस्त्र प्रहरी उपरीक्षक चिरञ्जीवी कुँवरले बताए ।
अति व्यस्त सडकखण्डअर्न्तर्गत अर्को एक पुलमा मुढा र बालुवा थुप्रिएपछि सतह बराबर हुँदा पानी पुलमाथिबाट बगिरहेकाले पुल खतरामा परेको छ । पसाहा खोलाको भंगालो काँट खोलामा पसेपछि बगाएर ल्याएको माटो बालुवा थुप्रिँदा र पुलमा मुढा अड्किँदा यस्तो स्थिति आएको बसचालक उदय श्रेष्ठले बताए ।
यसैगरी, एक सातादेखि परेको अविरल वषर्ाका कारण पर्सर्ााजल्लाका विभिन्न गाविसमा बाढी पसेको छ भने ठोरी गाविसका आमजनताको सदरमुकामसँग सर्म्पर्क टुटेको छ । एक सातादेखि परेको अविरल वषर्ा र बडनिहार वन क्षेत्रबाट बगिआएको पानी गाउँमा पसेपछि पर्सर्ााे बगही, लालपर्सर्ााबसडिलवा, मनियनरी, लिपनीविर्तालगायतका गाविस डुबानको खतरामा परेका हुन् ।
गही गाविसको अधिकांश खेतमा बाढी पसेको छ भने बाढीले पूरै धान नष्ट गरेको स्थानीय बासिन्दाले बताएका छन् । वन क्षेत्रबाट आएको बाढीले गर्दा बगही गाविस, स्थानीय क्लब तथा केही घरसमेत डुबानमा परेको स्थानीय बासिन्दा र्सर्युग महतोले जानकारी दिए । पर्सर्ाादरमुकामबाट सात किलोमिटर पश्चिममा पर्नेे बगही, बसडिलवा, लालपर्सर्ाा बासिन्दालाई बाढीका कारण बाटो अवरुद्ध हुँदा आवतजावतमा समस्या भएको छ ।-राजधानी

Sajha Manch Initiated to Coordinate the Nepali Organizations Abroad

What is Sajha Manch?

Sajha Manch is a space (forum) where all the organizations come together to brainstorm on ideas how the Nepali organizations abroad can help in the development of Nepal. Sajhan Manch is not an organization, but a coordinating body to bring all the organizations together.

First Meeting:

August 22^nd, 2010 became an important day for Nepali Diasporas in DC metro area. On the day, Nepalis organizations gathered at Central Library, Arlington, Virginia to discuss the needs and possibilities of all the existing Nepalis organizations to come together and work together with a common goal of Nepal’s development.

The participants were the President of America Nepal Society (ANS) Khem Bhattachan, Laxman Pradhan, President, Nepa Pasa Puchah Amerikaye (NPPA), Rajesh Shrestha, President of Newah Organization of America (NOA), Bishnu Thapa, President of America-Nepal Women’s Association of Greater Washington (ANWA), Rabina Thapa,President of Baltimore Association of Nepalese in America (BANA), Laxmi Goudel,President of Himali Angan, Ram Prasad Khanal, President of International Artists Forum, Dharam Bishwokarma, President of Nepali-American Society for Oppressed Community (NASO), Paras Mani Shrestha, President of Myagdi Samaj-USA, Kiran Pratap, representative of United Nepal Ram C Bhattarai, President of America-Nepal Chaupari and Bijay Thapa, President of Dharan America Society(DAS). Other Guests ,Invitees & dignitaries from ANS,BANA, DAS, ANWA, United Nepal and individuals were also actively participated in the round table meeting. Mr. Bijay Thapa welcomed all and highlighted in brief about the concept and objective of Sajha Manch .

The message from His Excellency Dr. Shankar P Sharma was delivered to the meeting by Mr. Anand P. Sharma, First Secratary of Embassy of Nepal. Mr. Anand P. Sharma was the Chief Guest and expressed his views about Sajha Manch, participated in discussion and appreciated the concept of Sajha Manch.

All the participants realized and expressed with their extreme emotion that our only identity is Nepali, and as a Nepali we should work together with passion and cooperation to bring ever lasting peace and prosperity in Nepal. Working in division always brings pain into our unbreakable relationships and leads us to failure even if we have a wonderful vision. To address the need of our Unity and to elaborate the possibilities of working together with our passion and cooperation, Sudeep Shrestha, PhD, presented the concept paper for the formation of Nepali organizations’ Sajha Manch with a clear vision, mission, objectives and goals. All the participants appreciated the facts that the goals of Sajha Manch can only be achieved by bringing all Nepali organizations together and by stepping into well defined path of success together.

The Big achievement of the discussion was that all the participating organizations agreed to work together forming Nepali organizations’ Sajha Manch with a clear vision of bringing peace and prosperity in Nepal. Dr. Shrestha was unanimously agreed as the coordinator of Sajha Manch giving him an authority to form Sajha Manch coordination committee and call for a next meeting to lay out the detailed work schedule. The round table meeting also recommended to invite all other non- participating organizations and inform them about the formation of Sajha Manch co-ordination committee

Last but not least, the approach of Sajha Manch is just a knock-knock to Nepalis hearts with a wake-up call to work with unity for the welfare of Nepal and Nepali people. Its success is hiding into our motivation, commitment, cooperation and UNITY. Special thanks to Mr Bijay Thapa for his tireless effort to organize the meeting. We express many thanks to all the participating organizations for their timely attendance, active participation in the discussion and their motivation and commitment.

The program concluded with high ray of hope and all the leaders of organizations concerned more about the feasibility & implementation part of Sajha Manch. Lastly, Khem Bhattachan put up vote of thanks and adjourned the Round Table meeting.
